Terb’s LINKS
These are my favorite Narnia websites, which I visit everyday.
THE LION’S CALL – This is my favorite so far. I’ve even submitted a couple of essays (i.e. blog entries) to this website already. But the reason I really love TLC is because the people in the forum are welcoming, smart and are very huge fans. I’m active in the TLC forum under the username TERBIDOODLES.
NARNIA FANS – Its tagline is that it is “created by and for fans of C S Lewis,” but I’m sure all the other websites can boast of the same claim. It has whole sections dedicated to both the books and the movies. I particularly like their review on the books, which includes chapter summaries, a list of characters and locations, and pictures of the cover of all book editions. I post in the NF forum occasionally under the username TERBIDOODLES.
NARNIA WEB – Its tagline is “the world’s #1 source for Narnia movie news,” and I agree. You can’t beat it when it comes to the news about the Narnia movies. But my favorite part is their thoughtful and comprehensive character profiles for majority of the characters in the books, even those who haven’t made it to the movies yet.
THE PHILIPPINE ORDER OF NARNIANS - Finally, I found a community of C S Lewis enthusiasts in the Philippines! I’m currently active in their mailing list. I like tPON because they’re fans of all the other writings of C S Lewis and not just The Chronicles of Narnia.
Hi Terb!! (Thank goodness you DO have a shorter version of your name, hee hee) I’m getting distracted here, browsing through your wonderful little website, but I had to write to you when I saw you mention the Phillipine Order of Narnians…did you know Dearheart and I met the PON president, Re de Leon, at Lion Con? (And I think he’s your founder, too!) Such a great guy–we all just loved meeting him…and I got into a bidding war during the auction over the WETA statuette of Peter on his Unicorn–he sniped me just seconds before the auction closed!! Arrrgh!! But I’ve forgiven him (and I’m still wondering how on earth he managed to get it on the plane; it’s not a small statuette, nor is it light!) Well, I have to go, but I just had to let you know about that. What a small world!! God bless you and keep you!! Love, Violamom :-)
VMom! Thanks for visiting my site… Wow, this IS a small world. I haven’t actually met Kuya Rem (that’s what we call him at TPON, Kuya is a respectful term used for older guys) but we email often in the TPON mailing list. I’ll be sure to mention you to him though, I’m sure he’ll be as surprised as I am.
And oh, I was heartbroken about the LionCon, I would have really, really loved to come but it would be too expensive for me plus I’ll probably have a problem getting a US visa. =)
